So before it’s too late, here are some tips that you can use to prepare for food crisis.

  • Store a greater than normal amount of the basic food items such as grains, sugar, salt, flour, oil, milk and farm produce that will not perish upon storage like potatoes, onions, garlic, carrots, etc.
  • Choose food items that you and your family like and be sure to know how to prepare them.
  • Consume food items that have shorter shelf life and replace them immediately.
  • If you’re on a tight budget, you can purchase the item one by one until you have stock up the items for storage.
  • You can get shopping savings from wholesale markets if you buy items like flour, salt, oil, sugar, etc.
